Project description

Sustainable sodium-ion (SIB) cathode chemicals are prepared using industrially relevant coprecipitation approach in collaboration with Umicore Finland Oy. Key aim is to prepare SIB cathodes (layered transition metal oxides, LTMO) with high energy density and stability, to improve the properties by doping in order to confirm high performance, safety and cyclability in SIB cells. Further, fundamental characterization of LTMO is done. Project will increase the core competence of research group related to coprecipitation of cathode active materials, and in the long-term opens up new business opportunities for the company.
