Educational research

Educational research conducted at the university center adheres to the research strategy of the Faculty of Education and Psychology.

Our research at the Department of Educational Sciences covers a wide range of individual, communal, and societal questions related to education, learning, and teaching. We conduct interdisciplinary research that is nationally and internationally networked. Our focus areas include:

  1. Research on Teacher Education Development: This area specifically aims at the content and pedagogical development of adult education for primary school teachers.
  2. Research on Teaching and Learning Processes: Here, our research designs address questions related to teachers’ professional development, societal changes, and school improvement expectations.
  3. Adult Pedagogical Research: We examine teacher education and teaching issues from an adult pedagogical perspective.

We annually publish our research in numerous high-quality domestic and international publications and contribute to scientific national and international books.

Our unit also has extensive project activities that support our research in many ways and are connected to social influence.
