Project description
Project goals and results
Companies live in a constantly changing operating environment. New, Europe-wide and also globally identified development trends, such as the green economy, double transition, combating climate change, energy transition, digitization, robotization, health aspects, etc., bring new challenges to the operations of companies and require investments to generate new innovations.
The goal of the EUBoost project is to significantly increase the number of companies from the Central Ostrobothnia region participating in Horizon Europe and other direct EU applications and the volume of their RDI funding. This is aimed at by sharing the EU know-how of the project implementers and by encouraging and guiding companies to join EU projects. Companies are brought up-to-date information about their potential to participate in projects by bringing to the fore concrete grassroots information about different application processes and funding channels, as well as practical lessons for operating in these.
The project therefore develops know-how related to EU applications and creates a regional operating model for how innovations are generated and utilized within the European Union's research and innovation framework. Based on the experience gathered during the project, innovation activities are organized in the region and a network of experts with a common goal and identified responsibilities and roles is created to obtain international funding (TKI service concept). The operation will also be maintained after the project by the area's business development organizations and research institutes.
With the project, the region's active innovation activity and the competence clusters created around it will be made nationally and internationally visible. For its part, this raises the profile of the region and attracts a skilled workforce in the future as well.
