I work as a university teacher at Kokkola university Consortium Chydenius, in adult teacher education programs. The main areas in my work are linked with the following areas: Pedagogical aspect in primary and special education, Finnish language and literacy didactical and pedagogical studies, multicultural practicum in basic education, Finnish as a Second Language and Literature subject and language skills assessment.

I received my Master of Education degree at University of Jyväskylä (2007) in Faculty of Education and Psychology. I have also Finnish language and literacy substance teacher qualification (2010). After my graduation I have worked for several years as a primary school special education teacher (2007-2021) and have a strong practical background. I received my PhD in education in 2022 at Tampere University in the Doctoral Program of Education and Society.

My research interests are within Finnish as a Second Language and Literature assessment in basic education, assessment and interventions, education development in adult teacher studies.
