I have worked as a University teacher in Department of Teacher Education at Kokkola University Consortium Chydenius since 2012. Before that, I worked as a teacher for ten years. I am also a kindergarten teacher and have a special education degree.

Research areas 

My research interests combine the pre-service teachers’ professional development. From 2012 to 2018 I have been involved in several research related to adult pre-service teachers experiences and professional development. My current research concerns ICT in teaching and learning. I am doing my PhD studies in the University of Jyväskylä. My doctoral dissertation is about Core curriculum for basic education 2014 and its’ point of view to learner-centered learning.


My areas of teaching are in subject studies and in multidisciplinary school-subject studies. I teach courses “The principals of teaching and learning”, “Student-centered learning”, “Group dynamics” and I am also involved in teaching practices.
