Biography

I have worked as a University teacher in Department of Teacher Education at Kokkola University Consortium Chydenius since 2014. I graduated from the University of Jyväskylä in 1998 as ME and drama educator and before university teachers' career I worked as a primary school teacher for over ten years with innovative mindset.

Research Areas

I am making my PhD studies in the University of Jyväskylä.  My dissertation work is about modeling a design framework for planning Phenomenon Based and integrated Learning plans in teaching practice. Transformative supportive ICT learning is another research field of my interest.

Teaching

My teaching areas are drama education, ICT teaching and learning, Media education, writing skills and I’m also responsible for teaching practices such as Advanced teaching practice 8 op and Small school teaching practice 3 op.

Current Research Project

Besides my PhD -research I am currently writing an article with my colleague about Determining the role of micro level strategies in developing student teachers’ competence for educational technology use. I'm also working on an article on drama education in teacher training.
