Biography
I have worked as a university teacher at the Kokkola University Consortium Chydenius since 2008. Before that I worked as a head of guidance and counselling clinic and as a social worker in different areas of public service. I also have a psychotherapy degree (family therapy orientation).

Research Areas
My research interests combine the development of family support services and the questions of child protection social work. I am especially interest in multiprofessional work in different areas of social work. My doctoral dissertation (2017) was titled ”Supporting families. Study on Child and Family Guidance and Counseling Clinic Work and Collective Identity as Interpreted by Experts”

Teaching
I supervise MA and BA theses and teach social work methods, social work management and leadership. I also coordinate social work practical training at the MA level. My research project focuses on child protection and relationship-based orientation in social work, in particular successful interventions in child welfare social work and their mechanisms.
