The aim of the Biovalley Finland project is to make Biovalley an internationally attractive circular economy ecosystem with new businesses, jobs and investments. The result is a strong circular economy area in which the three industries, chemicals, primary production and mining, work in synergy.
The main developer of the Biovalley Finland project is Kokkola University Consortium Chydenius. The project will run from June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2022 and will have a total cost of 566 050 €. The project is funded by the Regional Council of Central Ostrobothnia (ERDF), project partners, the Kokkolanseudun Kehitys Oy (KOSEK), the subregion of Kaustinen, the municipality of Perho, the city of Kannus and the city of Kokkola.
